BIometric COmbination SEnsor - is a study into use of combination of various biometric and conventional techniques for high assurence devices in defense applications.

The project was commissioned by Sentyron (formerly FoxCrypto) who work mostly in the area of cryptography/safe communication for the Dutch government e.g. defense and uWBH (unit Weerbaarheid). The BICOSE study investigated if combinations of biometric sensors/techniques can be used to safely provide access to highly qualified systems and information comparable or better in reliability and safety relative to conventional password or pin based security under challenging circumstances like on the battle field.

The 1st phase of the study has been completed (report). There may be a follow up project where a BIometric COmbination SEnsor will have to be designed, tested and demonstrated.
